This mix is all of the songs I found myself listening to the most in 2009. There's a bunch of special edits I did on here so I could squeeze more tracks into the 2 hour mix. My apologies for some of the slop mixing in here, I was aiming to cram in more songs, sometimes at the cost of it sounding fluid. The first half is a little more minimal and the second half more wild. Hope everyone digs, and happy new years. About some of the songs

-"Monday" is a really epic melodic house production, it will grow on you
- Eric Prydz's "On/Off" has been a beatport #1 and was named tune of the year by Eddie Halliwell and Carl Cox in DJ Mag
- "See The Sun" is a chill trance song that has been getting big play from lots of top 20 DJ's this past month
- "Tracking Treasure Down" is a throwback by Gabriel and Dresden, its a real shame they split up
- yes I still think Tiesto sucks but I have to admit he killed it on his remix of "Let's Get Bleeped Tonight" - great driving tech-trance song
- big props to Scharra on finding Extraball, absolutely insane godlike remix by Tocadisco, one of my favorite songs of 2009
- "Heads Will Roll" is currently the #1 song on beatport's Indie Dance chart

Passion Music; Best Of (07 - 09)

Hello Monday Humans,

Here's something I've been meaning to get to for awhile, a mix of all the best (mostly) vocal progressive from the last two or so years. This is primarily a thank you for everyone who has supported me in my djing project that started a little over a year and a half ago. Generally these passion mixes seem to be the most popular, so as a token of my tremendous appreciation I went through and picked out what I thought to be the songs representing the high water mark of the genre. It starts out with some darker underground electro, takes a detour to tech, then a little bit of trance, and I close it out with some more melodic progressive stuff. I was feeling a little dirty after my top 40 mix so I wanted to bring it back to the underground. I'd say the sound here is a mix of acid, electro, and progressive building each song to a crescendo in the final third (though its pretty hard from song 2 on). Something I've been meaning to do for awhile, and that's put together a mix of some of the more crowd friendly songs I've been playing lately. Part 3 of the Summer Electro Series, so you sorta know what to expect. Though it starts more somber, it quickly picks up and has an upbeat vibe. Summer Electro 2009 - VOL. II (The Program Mix)

Here is the second installment of my Summer Electro collection. I'd say that this takes a little darker and harder route than my previous mix, so it may isolate more casual listeners. I start it off more techy, cause like it or not, thats going to be a big sound over the next year or so. From there, we have a little detour w/ some dope new progressive songs (new EDX is key) then we take it back to electro and build to a crescendo late in the mix. Lots of brand new songs on here that are bound to rock clubs all summer long. SUMMER ELECTRO 2009 - VOL. I

To kick off the summer here's my latest mix which is a collection of electro party tunes. I've been waiting about a month to put this together, and I finally felt that I had the right collection of songs for this mix. I really hope everyone enjoys this mix as much as I enjoyed making it. Included on here is the new David Guetta tune which is sure to be a hit, a new Deadmau5 remix, the Swedish House Mafia's huge single "Leave the World Behind", and Eric Prydz's new banger "Melo."

Further, the Fatboy Slim Bootleg of "Right Here, Right Now" by Mixin' Marc just got released and though its been in rotation since 2006 its just an awesome song and I had to include it. Additionally, the Abel Ramos remix of the song is huge as well, and I'm hoping will be big when that finally gets released this summer.

Verdict is still out on the Benassi tune, but its a familiar song and people tend to like him so I included it. Personally I think he'd be wise to seek an official release of his far superior "Let It Rock" bootleg, but in the meantime this is sufficient I suppose.

Lastly, got some special edits on here that were done by DJ Larry and myself. My bootleg of the Fedde Le Grand classic has gotten a positive response and DJ Larry and I have included his mashup of the electro "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in our Rush sets.

Summer Chill Mix

This is a real chill mix I put together. The goal here was to capture the feel of an In Search of Sunrise cd before Tiesto started to suck. Spring Party Mix

Here's a new mix I made that represents songs from a variety of genres that I've been listening to lately. I sorta sacrificed ideal mixing at the cost of being able to put these vastly different songs on the same mix. Overall, it starts more chill and after song 7 starts to pick up pretty dramatically, peaking in the second half or so. It goes from progressive, to tech, to house, then the last portion is pretty much all electro. I put a lot into this as these are some of my favorite songs from the last month or so. Enjoy.

New Trance Mix

Hello humans,

Here's a new trance mix I put together this morning. This what you have come to expect from my mixes, it starts more subdued and picks up a lot towards the end. If you are using this for study purposes I recommend you depart before song 11. I hope everyone enjoys this. My last 4 mixes have been downloaded more than 500 times (combined that is) and so I appreciate the continued support. For those who are interested, I'll be djing @ lou has on Thursday w/ Scharra.
